Story Points:1
During DRP2D telecon on Aug 02 (https://sumire.pbworks.com/w/page/134796243/DRP%20telecon%202019%20Aug%202%20(Fri)%2013%3A00%20UTC), number of points were raised about ``broad'' line problem (e.g., PIPE2D-443 and PIPE2D-439).
1. Check what are the wavelengths that the other lamps (Neon, Krypton, Xenon) should exhibit the same effect.
2. I claimed that shift of the central wavelength should be around 3 times smaller than the broadening. I read this ``somewhere''. Verify that reference.
3. I also claimed that certain transitions (same lower level, just different spin of the lower state) should exhibit broadening of around 0.07 Angstrom. Verify that.
4. Continue searching for people who might recognize this problem. I plan to send an email to ``pundits'' from the J. Gunn conference with whom I first discussed this problem last year.
(On longer terms, we might need to devise how to handle this difference between different arc-lamps and the real data that will be coming soon).
