Observe the attached image ``Comparison_data_simulations.png''.
Top left: Cutout from real data (19358r1), bright spot at position x=63, y=151, i.e., bottom left part of the detector.
Top right: Cutout from the simulated image (31r), taken at positions x=74, y=233, i.e., also the bottom left part of the detector.
Bottom left: Cutout from real data (19358r1), taken at positions x=4012, y=153, i.e., bottom right part of the detector.
Bottom right: Cutout from the simulated image (31r), taken at positions x=4024, y=233, i.e., also the bottom right part of the detector.
See the obvious differences in the shape of the PSF between the simulated and real images at the (basically) same position of the detector.
I will investigate if this is actually concerning. Asking Jim will be the first step.
