Contrive some serial number tracking for the H4 DAQ parts.

For the CCDs, the FEE has registers for the FEE, ADC, preamp, and CCD serial numbers. And the handling procedures require that they be changes with every swap.

There is no such mechanism for the Teledyne DAQ chain. The ics_hxActor can (and usually does) request a specific SAM, whose serial number is readable. But there is no place to store the ASIC, detector, and cable serial numbers. Make one.
