Synthesize single communication mode from three mode bits.

The Edwards pump has a "communication mode", which is described in status bits 13, 7, and 6. The current status description is a bit-for-bit literal decoding (e.g. "..., Control mode bit 0, ...), etc. Replace those three with a single mode description ("serial control mode", etc), just to be less confusing.
