Do we want to create /software on a virtual disk or do we want to mount from the VM host</cite>?</p> <p>And maybe an existing host <tt>shell-ics</tt> will handle actors at CB2F?</p> <p>In the end there will be ~6 actors on <tt>rack5-ics</tt>: four ics_enuActor, two ics_roughActor. Can you make that two CPUs? The rest should be fine.</p> <p>for the  GUIs, we will be using a single machine which is remotely controlled over VNC right ? </p> <p><a href="https://pfspipe.ipmu.jp/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=cloomis" class="user-hover" rel="cloomis">cloomis</a>, the current host has 1 processor, 4, cores, and 8 threads.</p> <p>I have provisioned this VM. The canonical hostname is "rack5-scr" but "rack5-ics" also works. I did minimum configurations - local user "pfs" only, LDAP identification only (for "pfs-data"), no NFS client, empty /data and /software. Can you take a look and let me know if it is sufficient?</p> <p>I created a second virtual disk (64 GB), mounted it to /software then rsync'ed with rfa3-vm:/operdata/software.</p> <p><a href="https://pfspipe.ipmu.jp/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=arnaud.lefur" class="user-hover" rel="arnaud.lefur">arnaud.lefur</a> tested and it appears ok.
