We assumed InR=0 at installation, but it supposed to be +90. As a result, InR operation range is limited from -180 to 270. (<em>Note sign should be double checked by someone</em>)</p> <p>From the h/w point of view, both PFI and Pop2 has the limit switch, although one is to be installed at -180 deg. So s/w should limit operation range to protect PFI.</p> <p>It is not sure on which level we should limit rotation, but Gen2 (by <a href="https://pfspipe.ipmu.jp/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=eric" class="user-hover" rel="eric">eric</a>) should one place to limit operation.</p> INSTRM-1329

These are the ones that immediately come to mind.  The TCS has ultimate control over the rotator, so s/w measures in Gen2 cannot guarantee that the rotator will not be pushed into the dangerous territory by e.g. manual operation from TWS, etc.</p> <p>During Mitsubishi test in August, we discussed the limit of rotator angle. Mitsubishi will change the limit of the instrument rotator at -180 and +270 when PFS is used. (If you command the number  out of range, timeout will happen, according to Mitsubishi.) This telescope function will be tested in September.</p> <p>Work done so far sufficient.
