I would suggest that the datamodel need only contain the products that the average astronomer needs to accomplish the science goals of the project. I think the current level of the datamodel is sufficient, as the datamodel has been advertised within the collaboration and I'm not aware of anyone claiming that things are missing.</p> <p>In the specific case of the sky model, the actual sky subtracted from the spectra is recorded (see <a href="https://pfspipe.ipmu.jp/jira/browse/PIPE2D-493" title="SKY HDU is not populated in pfsArm files" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="PIPE2D-493"><del>PIPE2D-493</del></a>), and I don't think the average astronomer needs to worry about the model used to accomplish this.</p> <p><a href="https://pfspipe.ipmu.jp/jira/browse/PIPE2D-493" title="SKY HDU is not populated in pfsArm files" class="issue-link" data-issue-key="PIPE2D-493"><del>PIPE2D-493</del></a> addresses main concern.
