We now have some real darks with cosmic rays. Not quite sure about the exposure-time coverage though

I agree that this is better done with real darks. I think you need to sort out if we have enough darks, and make sure that the commissioning plan at LAM will take enough data for the simulator

Why reopened? Aren't we just going to use a piles of real darks? Exposure time is expected to be pretty uniform, so we don't need very many piles. Spend a few nights getting ~50 900s darks per night?

cloomis is correct - this ticket is now misleading. We need to acquire additional darks from LAM. So will close this ticket and create a new one for that purpose.
