So you're proposing putting NaNs (or 0s or...) into the simulated data wherever we have defects? That's probably OK, although some classes of defects are potentially fixable (and would have to be simulated much more carefully). |

We need B1 and possibly R1 bad pixels/columns before end of August 2018. |

We've agreed not to increase the detector fidelity in the simulator, as we now have real data. |
