| Description |

We need to map the position of a fibre on the slit to where the principal ray intersects the detectors. It seems likely that a parameterised model is good enough, rather than needing to run zemacs within the simulator |

I now have a file "RedFiberPixels.fits" which gives me the pixel<->wavelength map for each FiberTrace. I guess we can mark this issue as done? |

This was a request for the simulator, so I don't think that this file (which provides the inverse mapping) lets us mark this as closed. This is something that needs to be coordinated with cloomis |

How does Also, if you have two related tickets they need to be linked in Jira, not just noted in comments. |

I think this is basic functionality that has been present since long before I inherited the simulator from cloomis. |
