This topic is to be discussed on the drp telecon on October 22 (https://sumire.pbworks.com/w/page/146596092/DRP%20telecon%202021%20Oct%2022%20(Fri)%2012%3A30%20UTC)

The main suggestion is to take limited defocused data to monitor the change of illumination due to cobra movement.

I propose to use the Neon lamp, which will give most of the flux.
Every 10th fiber illuminated (or as close as possible to that configuration, given the possible constraints on the cobra positioning)

I suggest taking base defocused data with:
iic defocus arc position=-2.5,2.5,3 neon=4 duplicate=4.
Time needed: 27 minutes

Then, changing illumination (changing phi or theta?) and taking data with:
iic expose arc neon=140 duplicate=2 head='enu_sm1 slit focus=-2.5 abs'
iic expose arc neon=4 duplicate=2 head='enu_sm1 slit home'
Time needed for each iteration 8 minutes.
I suggest 10 iterations of different illuminations by varying amount of changing phi/theta.

Total time for this exercise would be 107 minutes (not including cobra illumination modifications).

This plans was discussed on ICS+DRP/Sps telecon on October 27, 2021. Given that no objections were raised, I am closing this ticket.
