 Description

I am looking at the images of 2d sky subtraction, from PIPE2D-857. The normalization of the 2d sky subtracted points in SuNNS seems to be off by approximately 20%. The rerun is placed at /projects/HSC/PFS/Subaru/rerun/ncaplar/PIPE2D-857_SuNSS . As Paul mentioned during the Monday meeting (Jun 28), there is a possibility that this is a simple bug due to recent refactoring of normalization and psf flux measurements.

Could you please provide the command-line you used?

Yes, I apologize. I believe it was

reduceExposure.py /projects/HSC/PFS/Subaru --calib /projects/HSC/PFS/Subaru/CALIB-ncaplar --rerun /projects/HSC/PFS/Subaru/rerun/ncaplar/PIPE2D-857_SuNSS/ --id visit=46582..46588 arm=r -c doMeasurePsf=True doSubtractSky2d=True doWriteCalexp=True subtractSky2d.useAllFibers=True

This is in much better shape now. The main problem was that the line photometry was being done with the temporary PSF while the subtraction was being done with the proper PSF.

Changes are fine. Left a comment about swallowing exceptions. Just provide a justification or update.

Adjusted to catch LSST exceptions only (so we don't catch, e.g., memory allocation failures).

Merged.
