| Description |
|
We need to know that (ra, dec) of each fiber, which requires a mapping from slit position to focal plane position. This is available from the pfiConfig file. The 2-D simulator needs to know this mapping to write the pfiConfig file in the first place. We also need to know the distribution of intensity with angle (which is related to this mapping, but also involves misalignments and FRD) to specify the pupil illumination for the PSF modelling code. |

To clarify with rhl whether this is still valid. |

We should close this as won't fix. However, we need tickets to write the pfsConfig file, probably an EEK issue, and to find ways to pass the pupil illumination/angular distribution of rays to the 2D PSF code |

We're already writing dummy values for the cobra positions in the simulator. |
