I am under impression that it is quite common to see that the PSF fitting to the images exhibits asymmetry in the quality of the fit to the wings of the psf in one of the wavelength directions. I am showing an example in 1D and 2D below.

I am not sure even this ticket is applicable anymore. It is definitely not one of the priorities - I recommend closing and potentially reopening similar ticket if there is an issue detected in the future. |
