 Description

In order to select F-stars, we need to locate them on a color-color diagram (likely gri).  We have the observed stellar sequence from HSC, and we want to overplot AMBRE stars to help choose the color selection criteria.

I have computed the synthetic HSC magnitudes of F-stars in the AMBRE models. The calculated model magnitudes are overplotted on gri color-color diagrams with HSC stellar objects. Loci of the model magnitudes coincide with the observed sequence. Definition and selection of HSC F-stars will be done in PIPE2D-383 based on this work.

plan-parallel geometry models with surface gravity = 4.0 cm/s2 and [a/Fe] = 0.2.
Effective temperature (6000-7500 K) and [Fe/H] (-5.0 - 1.0) are variable in the figure.

plan-parallel geometry models with [Fe/H] = 0.0 and and [a/Fe] = 0.2.
Effective temperature (6000-7500 K) and surface gravity (3.5 - 5.0) are variable.

Criteria of HSC stellar objected (black dots) in these figures are as follows.
isprimary = 'T'
i_extendedness_value = 0
inputcount_value >= 3 for gr, >=5 for i
g_psfflux_mag < 23.0
gri_psfflux_flag = 'F'
gri_pixelflags_interpolatedcenter = 'F'
gri_pixelflags_saturatedcenter = 'F'
gri_pixelflags_crcenter = 'F'
gri_pixelflags_bad = 'F'
gri_pixelflags_suspectcenter = 'F'
