 Description   

There needs to be a consistent goodness-of-fit that can be applied to both 2D PSF and 1D LSF model fitting.

Currently, I am using χ² simply. To define another goodness of fit, I have to know what matters to users.

Following discussions with ncaplar, agreed to close this for now, with the view that a future ticket will be filed to address this need if required.
