Story Points: 8
Epic Link: 2D Arc Subtraction

 Description

Following PIPE2D-332, provide a method that:
1. Determines the 1D continuum where appropriate (HgAr arcs for example)
2. Multiplies that continuum by the fiber trace to form a 2D continuum image
3. Subtracts that continuum image from the input source 2D image.

This feature has been present for a long time: https://github.com/Subaru-PFS/drp_stella/blob/master/python/pfs/drp/stella/reduceExposure.py#L219-L221

The feature was implemented a long time ago and is regularly used by ncaplar.

I just wanted to clarify that I do not actually use this code at the moment as it removes continuum within the fiber trace, which is not sufficient for me when doing full 2D analysis. I am using my own code, built from the insights that Paul provided in his code. Having said that, this code fully works and is correctly implemented.
