| Description |
|
Run QA on detectorMap for the engineering data release 1. As we do not have sufficient time to write a full QA script, we will manually run a custom code to make plots to evaluate and visualize the wavelength calibration accuracy. |

Some sample plots of detectorMap QA. The fitting residuals (XCenter and wavelength) of adjustDetectorMap are shown using the arcLines data (status=DETECTORMAP_USED, DETECTORMAP_RESEARVED). |

Revised plots are attached. The median and scatter of each fiber are shown in the right panels of dmapQAPlot-082596-r3.png (Upper: wavelength, Lower: Xcenter).
The most of the fibers having the large X offset in median (typically >0.1 pix) are affected by the adjacent bright fibers. |

I think the quality of detectorMap for EDR1 was good, so can we close this ticket now? |

Agreed. The detectorMaps were characterized well enough for EDR1. Ticket closed. |
