| Description |
|
The performance of flux calibration is checked with the observed data taken in the commissioning run in September 2022. I look into the performance of our flux calibration and gain feedback from the result for preparation for the next commissioning run. Due to the adjusting fiber positions and short exposure times for F stars, detailed examinations of the performance and fiber loss are not done for the September 2022 data. |

The observed data of visit=80842 contains 20 F stars, which are as faint as ~17 mag and distributed across FoV. pfsMerged of F stars are shown below. About 6 of them show H-alpha absorption in a low S/N.

PDF version of spectra. The P-cygni-like features are fixed. (see https://sumire-pfs.slack.com/archives/C3AU3VCMU/p1666586416978439 )

Plotting log(I) makes it hard to see what's going on. Could you add the linear plots? |

I ran that data through the flux calibration codes. The reduction of the actual observed data revealed found some bugs, which Mineo-san is fixing. The radial velocity estimate failed for the default mask setting, and therefore spectral fitting did not go well. Further tests will be done for the data taken in future observations. |

From this data reduction, I can get feedback on debugging. More tests will be done for brighter stars in the next commissioning runs. |
