 Description

I'd like to suggest that someone who knows about databases look at normalizing the current schema (https://github.com/Subaru-PFS/spt_operational_database/blob/master/pfs_schema.pdf).

In particular, I think the Target-DesignFiber-CobraConfig-ConfigFiber group could be cleaned up to where, roughly,:

  • only Target has the object magnitude and targeting columns
  • only CobraConfig has the center/diff/motor columns
  • configFiber is basically a targetId, a designFiberId, and a designId.
  • etc.
