While a series of 50 frames were taken in the MCS engineering run, pin-hole mask spot on MCS image occasionally looked to shift by ~50 pixels in X-axis and went back to the previous position . |

The "inserted" pixels looked diagnostic. Looking for high noise in the first 100 pixels coughed up four in ~7000 frames:

With good centroiding, can simply count peaks. |

This issue can be solved by add a sanity check. Simply calculating standard deviation of first 100 pixels and then compare with the standard deviation of whole image. See following link. https://github.com/Subaru-PFS/ics_mcsActor/commit/3fa3c325a35c13d4b050ca3369cff5e2dee8455f |
