 Description   

INSTRM-2148 reported MCS missed the faint fibers (due to bad connection) in January 2024. At a meeting on 24 Jan 2024, handling these fibers were discussed. At present not-identified fibers (i.e. missing fibers) are probably marked as behind the dot, even at home, which will confuse book keeping. 

Looking at December 2023 data, the faint fiber were missed for shorter exposure. chyan  and karr  will analyze the database, logs to see how these fibers were treated to discuss required modification.

These are some example from the December 2023 data. Note that I skipped the January 2024 data, when the dome light was on, because usually Cobra will be operated with dome light off (i.e. night time)

  • visit 104112 (move to home, 4.8s)
  • visit 103434,103659 (0.8s exposure for early phase, and 4.2s for later phase)
  • visit 103451 (4.2s for all iteration, skipping home)
