 Description

Currently a simple flux calibration is applied to the measured fluxes when the AG data are measured, and the results written to agcc_data. Calculations involving the colour term, however, need to be applied after matching with the GAIA catalogue. We need to discuss how to implement this, and what changes in the DB schema will be necessary.

Discussion from the ICS telecon concluded that the best thing in the October run would be to use notebooks for transparency calculations, pulling the current data from the database, to determine what the best way to do things is before implementing it as part of the system.

(Just adding some details for recording) In the Oct 2023 run,

  • In agc_data table, the predicted magnitude without taking color-term in to account, as previous runs, is stored with updated formula.
  • Notebook (e.g, one Kiyoto uses for looking the observation condition) to calculate the magnitude from agc_data and ag_match tables using the formula with color-term.
