 Description

Recently Subaru/CB2F UPS system has upgraded, and now we have 2 UPS-ed power lines to CB2F instrument control computers, which can supply about ~30-40min after power failure but without DG backup.

Note that our standard practice is to connect dual power supply servers to each UPS, so that likelihood of downtime is minimised (e.g. if a UPS fails, or is powered-down during routine maintenance). Equipment that cannot be configured with dual power supplies should be powered from a transfer switch in the rack.

From discussion on week of 2017/07/17 at Subaru, we agreed we need to explore current configuration and situation at Subaru including notification under Gen2 (e.g. Gen2 only receives signal from their own UPS), and we need to find Subaru-wide solution to notice power failure to instruments (OBCPs).
Also we agreed we need to find solution to notice status of power transfer switch (commercial or DG) to PFS/SpS, while PFS CB2F switches are offline, especially to notice whether 2nd power outage detected at PFS SpS UPS is DG drained out or second time of commercial power outage.
