karr Have you made progress on this lately ? any plots, report to share ?

Comment by yuki.moritani [ 29/Jun/23 ]

Jennifer told that she had almost got the update, and will need run all data through script. The data quality are better than the previous run, and she can see altitude dependency. She is figuring out how to the best extract the data to quantitative value.

Comment by karr [ 08/Jul/23 ]

The parameters have been updated; the altitude calculations will come at some point later, as this requires some work to sort the data properly.

Changes have been pushed and merged to master.

Example data set, plus a compilation of the fits of all the data sets (grouped by pfs_visit_id) from April; the red line shows the final fit.

karr  During the July run, I was monitoring the seeing size (calculated from the 2nd moments measured on AG camera) and transparency (from the difference between the `estimated_magnitude` and `guide_star_magnitude` in opDB. I found that there was a large variation in a single agc_exposure_id especially in the transparency, in which the normalization was also very strange. I'll take a look in more details in my side, but could you take a look as well please?

The flux conversion from the April/May Run has been updated, but I wont' close this ticket until the comments from Yabe-san have been addressed, so as to not lose track of the issue.

Comment by karr [ 17/Aug/23 ]

Yabe-san, this appears to be a very silly bug in scaling exposure times. I will fix, and push the changes.

Comment by karr [ 18/Aug/23 ]

I've created a new ticket to address the problem; we can probably close this one now.
