Gen2 provides FITS.SBR status keywords describing the moon. But it is up to the instrument scripts to update those values. Please add EXEC OBS CALC_MOON whenever we slew the telescope. |

I added the command "Exec OBS Calc_Moon Equinox=2000.0 ; " to SETUPFIELD.sk, SETUPFIELD_AZEL.sk, and SETUPFIELD_RADEC.sk. The moon distance will be calculated at the timing that the telescope settles at a commanded position. If you prefer other timings of the calculation, please let me know. The update has been pushed to Git "tickets/ |
