could be doable

  • installation of package
  • deploy environment configuration script using template module
  • deploy eups from github using git module
  • run configure and make install of eups

  • for python modules, install python-pip and python-apt via apt, and all others via pip. (does this seem fine cloomis?)
  • keep using eups version 1.5.7 (original bootstrap)
  • root directory to /data/ics/<hostname>/
  • add a link to $EUPS_DEFAULT_DIR/bin/setups.sh as ~/setups.sh

could be better to setup ics_config also?
or just push bin/pfsinstall script for local use.... (actually, this was a plan orignally - left eups layer after ansible

merged

  • installation worked as eups to setup tron (and run)
  • left ics_config not installed with this role
  • might be better to have pfsinstall to be pushed locally (if so, file a new ticket)
