 Description

The windowed centroiding needs to be optimized for real agcc data; this involves choosing the best input parameters for the centroiding, and filtering the detected positions to reject false detections.

Further work produced much better performance of the windowed algorithm, but it's clear that it's not sufficiently complex for the real agcc. In particular, it can't handle close sources, and wasn't designed to handle strongly varying backgrounds (ie, from cirrus, or nearby bright sources). Consequently, using the full sextractor algorithm, although slower, is probably necessary.
