 Description

Quoting from the commissioning telecon post-mortem 2021-10-04 https://sumire.pbworks.com/w/page/146399862/Commissioning%20telecon%20on%20Oct%206%202021%20%28Wed%29%203%3A30%20UTC :

Seeing RMS seems also less good in a particular area ... Any correlation with the convergence variation across the FoV? – Yes, it is "bottom right" also even in the case of 5 sec exposure. Jennifer will confirm this.

Poor seeing/convergence in region at the edge of the field can be explained by slightly incorrect black dot positions in that region, as discussed in the commissioning telecon. It is not clear the caue of the incorrect positions; measurements or transformation errors.

I've processed the seeing data from the Sept21 engineering run. A PDF can be found at

https://sumire.pbworks.com/w/file/146664915/seeingImageResultsSept21_karr.pdf

In addition, I've uploaded routines to generate similar plots from a fully populated database to pfs_instdata (currently in ticket branch). These need to be double checked against a fully populated database.

This ticket interacts with the analysis of the convergence results; the file shown at the weekly telecon can be found at

The code has been added to dev_ics under SeeingAnalysis. Example plots are at
