 Description

For SuNSS observations, we follow a 1Hz stream of status keywords from Gen2, currently:

  • timestamp
  • requested pointing (ra/dec deg)
  • actual telescope pointing (ra/dec deg)
  • telescope drive status: Pointing (fixed alt/az), Tracking, Guiding.
  • telescope altitude (deg)
  • dome position (open/closed)
  • offsets (ra/dec arcsec)

Those are all that we currently use to decide whether and how to run SuNSS exposures. [We are hoping for some lamp status]

This needs to be saved in some official place and format.

Bump. Currently being saved to product directory, which is obviously nuts. We are saving the entire raw gen2 keyword change log in /data/log/gen2; I propose to instead write the trimmed version of that plus the all_ and action_ SuNSS files into /data/logs/sunss/.
