First cut implemented. The vlanActor receives a MEF file from agcamActor (== simulated agccActor), locates detected stellar-like objects from up to six camera images, using centroid metadata stored in a binary table extension, extracts "post stamp" images, annotates with camera id and serial number, and combines them into a single "mosaic" image. If the centroid metadata is not stored in AG MEF files, it has to be retrieved from OpDB. The images are not annotated with field acquisition/autoguiding/focusing information. |

Two modes were implemented so that a composition of AG camera images works with or without centroiding. With centroiding information in the operational database (in the agc_data table) or as a binary table extension in a FITS image file from the AGCC actor, an extraction of "post stamp" images from all AG camera images is performed and they are combined to create a "mosaic" image. Without centroiding information, regions of all AG camera images (central regions by default) are extracted and then combined. Tested with (production) AG FITS images from the AGCC actor during the November 2021 engineering observations. |
