memo from SpS #02636.
We need to remember our (raw) FITS image is not corrected on flipping from relative position of serial transfer and readout port when we define these FITS headers.
Even we have specific code on ISR in our 2D DRP, we should be better to have records on these in FITS header.

The one question is how to describe right-to-left readouts. Can we simply make MIN > MAX?

Philip Tait (Disabled - local account) philip ?

Specifically, alternate amps read out in opposite directions. So for amp #2, how do we declare that the real pixels start at col 1072 and end at col 560? Does the following work?

W_EFMN21 = 1072
W_EFMX21 = 560

These are SuprimeCam/HSC cards, not Subaru cards:

  • The reference NAOJ FITS documentation does not list them, except in the SuprimeCam/HSC header examples. And never documents them.
  • In the SuprimeCam/HSC examples, the cards have the instrument prefix (e.g. T_EFMIN11).
