 Description   

Mail is not being sent out when e.g. issues get created. I looked around but did not see anything obviously misconfigured (Outgoing Mail server is configured and the test mail works, the default notifications are configured to send mail, etc).

I wasn't sure where to find the jira logs, so can go no further. Over to you....

I am receiving email from JIRA on issue update/assign.
Does this still remain open?

Yes, I'm not getting email. Jira thinks that my email address is rhl@astro.princeton.edu but maybe

  • it is really sending it to some pfs machine
  • it's being spam filtered
    I do get mail from the LSST jira and the one we're running in Princeton, so I think that the latter's unlikely

checking w/ Robert, it seems some emails are delivered but dropped into wrong imap box.
we need to check

  • change Message-ID domain
  • all outgoing emails are delivered or not
