 Description

Currently the sky model for a single exposure is not defined in datamodel.txt. Now that sky subtraction is being implemented in the 2D DRP, please provide a definition.

Note that the sky model should be defined as a function of position on the focal plane, and not in detector coordinates.

There are several 2D-DRP products that aren't in the formal datamodel (bias, dark, flat, detectorMap, sky1d, sky2d, fluxCal, wlFitData), so let's not worry about just one here: we should add anything else that we need.

I don't think it's necessary that all 2D-DRP products be in the formal datamodel. I would suggest that the datamodel need only contain the products that the average astronomer needs to accomplish the science goals of the project. I think the current level of the datamodel is sufficient, as the datamodel has been advertised within the collaboration and I'm not aware of anyone claiming that things are missing.

In the specific case of the sky model, the actual sky subtracted from the spectra is recorded (see PIPE2D-493), and I don't think the average astronomer needs to worry about the model used to accomplish this.

PIPE2D-493 addresses main concern. This specific ticket is not required. Closing with no action.
