      Description

      Looks like the v28 upgrade brings a change in how the formatters get the default extension. The PDF report is an extension of the MatplotlibFormatter so the default extension is png. Currently the only usage of this is the DM Combined Residuals QA, which is giving the PDF report the wrong extension.
