After reaching the maximum allowed cryocooler power, it will be necessary to regenerate the cryostat.
To do so, we have designed a turbo-pump-based regeneration procedure.
The sequence is based on automatic or remote controlled operations including :
- starting/stopping roughing, turbo and ion pumps
- opening/closing the gatevalve.
- stop/starting cryocooler
To speed up the process, the heater on the detector and spreader are used.
From a software pov, the main thread can be viewed as a sequence with:
- Steps with associated actions;
- Transitions with associated logic conditions
But there will be also other threads with asynchronous action in parallel.
