If we want to be able to exchange the line-spread function (LSF) information, we need to have a formal datamodel for it, and I/O implemented in the datamodel package.
This should not be scheduled until we have a decent idea about how we will represent the LSF going forward (PIPE2D-342 defines a placeholder, but it may not be sufficient by itself).
